Thank you to everyone who made Saturday such a success. We had a brilliant day and the weather was even kind to us.
The children loved the fire engine, even some of the staff had a go on the bouncy castle. We certainly have some budding archers and the walking on water balls looked like a huge amount of fun. The baking stall was as popular as ever. Shona and Amanda kept us well fed with really tasty hotdogs. The raffle was great, thank you to those who donated prizes. The tattoos, face painting and painted nails ensured that we looked in the mood for a party when the Olympic torch passed through the village.

The Nursery were delighted to welcome Ruby's Dad and Grandad to help in the garden this week and the plants have begun to grow.
The Nursery also watched as their butterflies came out of their cocoons, and they had become the most beautiful painted lady butterflies.
We all enjoyed a super sports day organised by Mrs Campbell which was just brilliant, it was great to see everyone trying their best.
Even the mums and dads were delighted to win a rosette.
Next week we are being visited by Education Scotland and will be inspected. We are looking forward to their advice and support. The team will be here from Monday lunch time until end of Thursday.

I am delighted to say, a HUGE, "Hello" to you all once more. I am really pleased to be back at work here in Kilchuimen Primary. I also have to say, many thanks to Mr Morrison for all his hard work over the course of the year. The children and staff have enjoyed working him, and I have heard many lovely reports.
This is a bust term, and we really hope that the recent good weather will be kind to us.
On Wednesday we have a Jubilee picnic at lunch time. Mrs Curly has been cooking up a storm. We are all going to wear our beautiful crowns during the lunch.
On Thursday are going to have our sports day, this is weather permitting. I hope that we don't get the weather which is on the forecast. Please call the school hotline to find out if the event is on if you are in any doubt. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Olympic Torch is passing through the village on Saturday 9th June. The school is having a fete from 1.00 - 3.30pm we are looking for helpers, baking and bottle and raffle prizes. We hope to see as many of you there as possible. There will be Walk on Water balls as well as archery, a bouncy castle, and a variety of stalls.
On Monday 11th June we are going to be visited by Education Scotland, we look forward to their help and advice.
With the end of term approaching we will be saying a very sad, "goodbye" to Mrs Pargetar. She has worked in the school for many years and is a valuable member of our team, we are going to be very sorry to loose her as she retires. Should you like to put a small donation to her presentation please leave any donations at the school office.
On 29th June we will be having our usual prize giving service in the church at 10.00 More details to follow.
In the mean time, thank you for making me feel so welcome back.
Kindest regards

In my last week at Kilchuimen Primary School I would like to take this opportunity to wish Ms Scollay all the very best on her return to Kilchuimen Primary School.
This has been a fabulous year for mw and I have seen some tremendous work being carried out; in classrooms, in the hall, in the playground, in fact just about everywhere you can possibly think of! It has been a pleasure to work with such a wonderful group of staff and children.
I look forward to getting in touch with the school before the summer holiday to hear about all the wonderful learning experiences between now and then.
Kind Regards
Mr M.

This survey is a repeat of a survey used in May last year, which will allow for comparative analysis of the data collected. This will help us as a school and let us know how we are responding to your comments and the needs of your child/children:

The last couple of weeks have been incredibly busy for everyone. It has been great to meet so many parents busy around the school and of course it has been fantastic to see the successful learning happening around our school. The P1/2/3 class have been decorating enormous cubes that they made with nets and you will love the individual Coat of Arms designs that have been created. The P4-7’s have enjoyed learning Gaelic this week, gle mhath! Also, the P5 and P6/7 children that have been swimming have been excellent ambassadors for the school on their trips to Inverness. I was also delighted to receive a personal invite to attend a Bears Breakfast in the Nursery with my friend Dave the Bear, it was excellent and the breakfast was delicious! Well done for all the hard work recently by the Pupil Council, well done Joshua, Caitlyn, Julina, Katie, Cameron, John, Ross and Ben. I believe there are some ambitious ideas to continue improving the school so I look forward to seeing some improvements in the coming months.
Keep up the great work everyone!
Happy Holidays

Hello there everyone! I hope that you are having a super time during the summer.
I am writing to let you all know that Mr Kenneth Morrison will be your new Head Teacher after the summer holidays. He begins work on the 15th August.
Mr Morrison has worked as part of the English as an Additional Language team, and is an experienced class teacher.
I have very much enjoyed working at Kilchuimen Primary and I am very sad to be leaving you. I very much appreciate the support which you have given me and I am sure you will support Mr Morrison well too.
A huge "Thank you" must also go to all who gave me beautiful and generous gifts, I will treasure them all.
I will be keeping in touch with the school over the next two years and I am sure I will bump into many of you in Fort Augustus!
All the very best wishes to you all.
Good Luck to Mr Morrison.
Wendy Scollay :-)
